Zipline in Mauritius: 5 rides at Vallée Park, 2026 prices

This site is first and foremost about Reunion Island, where you can zipline through the canyons and over the waterfalls of Cilaos or Saint-Joseph (see my Reunion Island zipline guide in Langevin). Mauritius does things differently: a single base (Vallée Park de Chamouny) bringing together 5 ziplines of varying lengths and profiles, including one of the longest in the world (1,500m). Here are the 5 bookable packages.

Every bookable zipline in Mauritius is concentrated at Vallée Park de Chamouny, a private nature park in the south of the island, on the southern edge of Black River Gorges National Park. The park brings together 5 ziplines with contrasting profiles on the same site: the 1,500m Signature (one of the longest in the world), the Chamouzé waterfall zipline over a natural pool, a beginner zipline from age 6, and an original suspended-bike ride.

Five packages can be booked on Manawa, from €25.83 for the beginner package or the bike zipline. The Signature package (1,500m, €51) is the best rated in my selection so far (5/5 from 2 verified reviews). All of them can be combined with quad biking, buggy riding and hiking on the same day, with combined packs sold at the park entrance. 2026 prices verified as of the update date below.

This is Vallée Park's iconic zipline, advertised by the operator as one of the longest in the world, 1,500 metres of cable stretched over the tropical gorges of Chamouny, between Black River Gorges National Park and the village. Manawa rating 5 out of 5 from 2 verified reviews, only a couple so far.

The descent lasts several minutes in the air, at a speed that can reach 60-70km/h depending on the participant's weight and the wind. Departure is from an elevated platform after a short technical briefing. Full gear (harness, helmet, carabiners) is provided, along with braking gloves. The guide-to-participant ratio is generally 1 to 2 or 3 on this package.

Who it's for: thrill-seekers who want Mauritius's longest zipline (no equivalent elsewhere on the island), amateur photographers (a GoPro mounted on the harness is allowed on most listings), groups of friends. Who it's not for: children too young (a minimum age of 12 is required on this long zipline), people prone to vertigo, travellers over the operator's weight limit (generally 100-120kg, to confirm in advance).

Manawa price: €50.75 per person for a single descent. Flexible weather cancellation. Bring closed shoes, clothes that can cope with the wind (no skirts or dresses) and sunglasses with a strap. Minimum and maximum weights are strictly enforced for safety, so check them when booking.

This package links up several of Vallée Park's ziplines on a guided half-day course, with short walks between departures. The pack generally includes the Chamouzé waterfall zipline (over a natural pool, 300m long) and 2 to 3 other shorter lines at the heart of the park. No reviews published on Manawa to date, a recent listing.

The appeal of this package over the 1,500m Signature (€50.75) is its variety: you do several descents of varying lengths and profiles (high, low, over waterfalls, through forest), with a progressive briefing that lets beginners build confidence before the longest sections. A better way to learn.

Who it's for: mixed groups (contrasting levels), families with teens who want a complete half-day activity, travellers who've never done a zipline and prefer to build up gradually, photographers who want to vary their angles. Who it's not for: travellers who want a single long descent (book the Signature at €50.75 instead), groups in a hurry who want to be done within an hour.

Manawa price: €51.18 per person for the full half-day course. Flexible weather cancellation. The walks between lines are short but the ground can be slippery: closed shoes with good grip are recommended.

Zipline over the Chamouzé Waterfall (300m)

A descent over a natural pool · 300m of cable

This 300-metre zipline is one of the most scenic at Vallée Park: the cable passes over the Chamouzé waterfall's natural pool, adding a refreshing touch that's very welcome in the hot season (the falls' spray lightly wets participants midway through the descent). No reviews published to date, a recent listing.

It's much shorter than the Signature (1,500m), just a few dozen seconds in the air at most, but the view over the waterfall is unique. The minimum age of 8 lets younger children take part compared with the Signature (minimum age 12), in a suitable junior harness.

Who it's for: families with children from age 8, travellers who want an introductory zipline before trying the Signature, photographers after the 'flying over the waterfall' shot. Who it's not for: fans of long descents (book the 1,500m Signature at €50.75 instead), adult groups who want a more intense format.

Manawa price: €34.66 per person for a single descent. Flexible weather cancellation. Clothing that can get wet is recommended (the waterfall's spray lightly dampens clothes midway through the descent).

This is the most accessible package in my selection: a short zipline designed specifically as an introduction, letting absolute beginners and children from age 6 try ziplining without too much commitment. It's noticeably shorter than the Signature, the starting height is lower, and automatic braking handles the arrival with no action needed from the participant.

No reviews published on Manawa to date, a recent listing. This package stands out from the park's other ziplines on 2 points: the minimum age of 6 (versus 8 on Chamouzé, 12 on the Signature) and the €26 entry price, making it one of the cheapest outdoor activities I list in Mauritius.

Who it's for: children from age 6 trying a zipline for the first time, adult travellers very hesitant about a long descent who want to try it out before moving on to more intense ziplines, school groups. Who it's not for: thrill-seekers (the descent stays gentle and short), teens who want a real challenge (book the Signature or the Chamouzé waterfall zipline instead).

Manawa price: €26.36 per person. Flexible weather cancellation. Families often pair it with another of the park's ziplines on the same day, or with the €51 multi-zipline pack if you want to do several.

Bike Zipline at Vallée Park, Mauritius

One of a kind · A bike suspended on a cable

From
€25.83/person
Book via Manawa
See the full description

This is an original take on the classic zipline: a whole bike is suspended on a cable, the participant sits on the saddle and pedals through thin air above the valley. Propulsion comes from both gravity (the cable's descent) and pedalling. It's unique in Mauritius, with nothing comparable at the other adventure parks listed on Manawa Mauritius. No reviews published to date, a recent listing.

The visual effect is striking (you see a bike 'flying' in photos taken from the ground) and the experience for the participant combines the flying sensation of a zipline with a bike's pedalling motion. Speed stays moderate compared with classic ziplines, and braking is gradual and handled automatically at the end of the cable.

Who it's for: travellers who want an original, photogenic activity, teens from age 10 comfortable on a bike, groups of friends who want to bring back an unusual video. Who it's not for: travellers who hate cycling (you have to pedal to move forward even though gravity helps), children too young to reach the pedals from the suspended saddle.

Manawa price: €25.83 per person, the cheapest zipline in my Mauritius selection. Flexible weather cancellation. Bring closed shoes and clothes that can cope with the wind.

Frequently asked questions

Your questions about ziplining in Mauritius

How much does a zipline cost in Mauritius in 2026?
Prices on Manawa start at €26 for the bike zipline or the L'Initiateur beginner zipline (from age 6). €35 for the zipline over the Chamouzé waterfall (300m, from age 8). €51 for the 1,500m Signature (from age 12, the most reviewed in my selection at 5/5 from 2 reviews) or for the combined multi-zipline half-day course.
Where can you go ziplining in Mauritius?
Every bookable zipline in Mauritius is concentrated at Vallée Park de Chamouny, a private nature park in the south of the island, on the southern edge of Black River Gorges National Park. There's no other adventure park of this scale in the Mauritius catalogue: Vallée Park concentrates the entire zipline offering, plus quad biking (see my Mauritius quad biking page), buggy riding and hiking (see my hiking page).
What's the longest zipline in Mauritius?
The Vallée Park Signature zipline, presented by the operator as one of the longest in the world with 1,500 metres of cable stretched over the tropical gorges. Speeds can reach 60-70km/h depending on the participant's weight. €51 per person, accessible from age 12. The second-longest bookable zipline in Mauritius is the Chamouzé waterfall zipline at 300m.
What's the minimum age for ziplining?
6 for the L'Initiateur beginner zipline (short and low, automatic braking). 8 for the zipline over the Chamouzé waterfall. 10 for the original bike zipline. 12 for the 1,500m Signature. Minimum ages are checked on arrival, with ID or at the guide's discretion. A junior harness is provided below a certain height.
Is there a weight limit?
Yes, the maximum weight for Vallée Park's ziplines is generally between 100 and 120kg depending on the package (a stricter limit on long cables like the Signature because of the speed reached). There's also a minimum of around 25-30kg for children on the Signature. You may be weighed on arrival. Confirm when booking to avoid an unnecessary trip.
What happens in rain or strong wind?
Manawa's flexible cancellation gives you a free reschedule or refund. Above a certain wind speed the ziplines always close (they're sensitive to crosswind gusts on the cable). In moderate rain the activity goes ahead (harnesses and helmets cope fine); in heavy rain it's postponed. The most settled season is August to November (the dry southern winter). Avoid January-February (cyclone season).
Can you combine ziplining with other activities at Vallée Park?
Yes, the park brings together ziplining + quad biking (see my Mauritius quad biking page) + buggy riding + hiking (see my Mauritius hiking page) + Vallée des Couleurs on the same Chamouny site. Most visitors combine 2 or 3 activities on the same day. Combined packs are sold at the park entrance and are generally cheaper than booking the Manawa listings separately.
